  Amazing value! Not only was this the best price available but the family who owns the motel go above and beyond for their continental breakfast - watermelon, hard-boiled eggs, bacon and little homemade onion/leek pancake/crepes. The rooms were more along the lines of 80's decor, but were clean and well maintained. Stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay again! The perfect homebase for a trip around Cape Breton.

  I would only give it a half star but that option isn't available. It was run down. Used shampoo and conditioner left in the bathroom. Has a smell that is old. No running cold water in the bathroom sink. Had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. I have nick named it the Bates motel. Unfortunately it did for the night to lay our heads. As we were tired after such a long drive. But make no mistake I WILL NOT be there again. Lesson learned.

  This motel has older decor so if that's a deal breaker this place is not for you. The mattress however felt fairly new and was very comfortable. Our room was very clean and they did offer housekeeping (as we were staying multiple nights) we turned it down however. Breakfast was good; eggs, bacon, toast, juice, coffee, tea, cereal, muffins, and these pastries that were delicious. Less then 10 minutes and your in Sydney. Five and you are downtown North Sydney, yet it feels like the country.

  A great motel! Just what you need. The continental breakfast is more than just cereal and juice. We had eggs, bacon and so much more. Amazing for the price.

  Friendly staff. Best price available, clean room and comfortable bed. About 10 minutes drive to Sydney and 5 minutes to North Sydney. Too much light from motel's parking lot disturbed our sleep during night.
